'Ta Pasta' snack - black seafood

here's another interesting savory/salty snack from the famous Glico company, it's a new brand, only released early this year called 'Ta Pasta'. They're dried REAL pasta sticks made with various ingredients...at the moment, there's only 3 flavors available; black seafood, peperoncino, and a new flavor that's just been released; basil & cheese. Today I'll be blogging about the black seafood flavor, I've never had these Ta Pasta snacks before, so this was my first encounter with the new brand:

Ok, so upon the first look at the snack from the 2nd photo above, they don't look very appetizing do they? But looks can be deceiving after all! Initially, I was a bit turn off by the appearance, it really didn't look very appetizing, but I completely changed my mind the moment I took my first bite...the pasta sticks were very crunchy & crispy & packed full of flavor! Obviously the main flavor ingredient was actual squid ink, to give the sticks that black colour & strong flavor, with some added sprinkles of seafood to enhance the overall taste even more.
Overall, these are really good, very tasty snacks...although they are quite salty, so it's better to accompany them with a beverage like beer.

My rating (overall):

You can order Ta Pasta snacks at NapaJapan here:

I also found the Japanese commercial for the brand, it's a cute cm:

Although the 'Kit Kat' confection originates in England & is produced worldwide by Nestlé (and Hershey in the US only), most of the KK bars I review about are Japanese flavours from Nestlé Japan.
