LOOK chocolate - Baskin Robbins assortment (4 flavors)

I also bought this from Tokyomart during my last shopping trip there, I think this was a special release edition of Fujiya's popular 'LOOK' chocolates, it contains an assortment of 4 different flavors inspired by Baskin Robbins ice cream, there's regular vanilla & chocolate, strawberry cheesecake and matcha ice cream flavors:

because there's 4 different flavors, I will review each flavor separately...
the first I tasted was the vanilla ice cream flavor, the vanilla cream in the center was sweet but mild and balanced well with the milk chocolate coating that was smooth and melt in your mouth, overall a nice flavor and good execution.
My rating (overall):

the next was the chocolate ice cream flavor, the chocolate cream inside was light and not overly sweet, paired with the milk choc coating created a rich chocolate blend
My rating (overall):

Matcha ice cream:
the matcha flavor in the cream was too subtle for me, it was barely existent...perhaps it's because the flavor is suppose to rendition matcha ice cream and not pure matcha, that the makers at Fujiya went a little too easy on the flavoring? Either way the matcha flavor was too weak for me and nearly non-existant and that was disappointing. Even if they added just a little bit more matcha powder to the cream, would've redeemed this flavor for me.
My rating (overall):

Strawberry cheesecake ice cream:
I was the most excited about this strawberry cheesecake flavor because it sounded so fantastic but once again I was let down, the strawberry flavor from the cream was very mild once again, and I could not taste any kind of tartness from the cream that you would usually taste from a cheesecake. The flavor overall was very weak, the only flavor I was able to taste from the cream in the center was a very mild strawberry flavor. They might as well re-label this flavor as a simple artificial "strawberry ice cream" flavor, because that's basically what it tasted like. But on the upside, at least the milk choc coating was smooth and rich.
My rating (overall):

All in all, the vanilla and chocolate flavors were by far the best and the saviors of this particular LOOK release. Both the matcha and the misleading "strawberry cheesecake" flavors really disappointed me, the only redemption for those 2 flavors was the rich milk choc coating.

Although the 'Kit Kat' confection originates in England & is produced worldwide by Nestlé (and Hershey in the US only), most of the KK bars I review about are Japanese flavours from Nestlé Japan.
