Collon - Strawberry cookies

Glico is perhaps my favorite Japanese confectionery manufacturer! They produce many of my favorite Japanese snack brands such as the famous 'Pocky' and 'Pretz' biscuit stick snacks, as well as the 'Cratz' and 'Ta Pasta' savory snacks, I've also tried and loved many more of their other products. They are also one of Japan's largest and most famous confectionery companies alongside Meiji and Lotte.

Another one of Glico's popular snack brands is 'Collon', these yummy soft cylindrical shaped cookies with cream or chocolate fillings. Collon is also one of my favorite snack brands, I've loved them for years! They come in several different new flavors each year.
This is the strawberry Collon:

This seems to be a new 2011 re-vamped version of the old strawberry Collon flavor.
Sweet strawberry cream filling with tiny cream bits also embedded and encased in those soft cylindrical shaped cookies. Oishii! I love many of the flavors of Collon that I've tried over the years, but I think I just found my new favorite Collon flavor!
Although I do have a teeny tiny little complaint about this, the cream filling contained just the right about of sweetness...however, just a little bit more strawberry flavor infused in the cream filling would've made it even better.

From what I can tell, this bears very little difference to the old strawberry Collon flavor, the only difference seems to be the additional tiny white cream bits embedded in the strawberry cream filling. These tiny white cream bits are obscured in the second photo so you can't really see them, but they're shown quite clearly on the packaging in the first photo. You can also barely taste these cream bits once you munch on these Collon snacks.

I just wish Glico would increase the quantity of these snacks in each pack, because there's just not enough of these yummies in a pack!

My rating (overall):

I think I would prefer the chocolate filling, but even though they remind me a little of dog treats we used to have I bet they taste yummy!

I love food, especially desserts & sweets, junk food and Japanese cuisine! But I'm a foodie who loves all kinds of good food in general ^_^
I like to review & critique about various food, sweets, snacks & drinks I have tasted/tried based on my OWN personal opinion & preferences. So you may not agree with some of my opinions & ratings.

Although the 'Kit Kat' confection originates in England & is produced worldwide by Nestlé (and Hershey in the US only), most of the KK bars I review about are Japanese flavours from Nestlé Japan.
