Both my mum & I love these Tim Tam chocolate biscuits, this is yet another new flavor; Chewy Caramel:

my mum went grocery shopping yesterday & bought 2 packets of Tim Tams, this flavor & the Classic dark again. Frankly when I saw she had bought this flavor I wasn't particularly excited because I hate caramel, so normally I wouldn't "intentionally" buy any sort of confectionery that has caramel in it, I hate the fact that caramel always sticks to my teeth. But I was pleasantly surprised by this one...mainly because the caramel wasn't so hard & sticky like it usually is in other confectioneries. Instead the caramel in each of these Tim Tam biscuits was soft, runny & gooey, and they literally melted in my mouth almost immediately after each bite, which is quite unusual...as caramel typically are hard, chewy & sticks to your teeth instantly.

'Tim Tam' chocolate biscuits - Black forest

Anyone who has tried a Tim Tam biscuit would conclude that it is one of the BEST chocolate biscuits in the world! Produced by Arnott's, which is a famous Australian company, they manufacture a large range of chocolates, confectioneries, biscuits & snacks. Tim Tams are perhaps their most popular product, and if you have ever tried them, then you will understand what I mean.
Anyway, this is a new dessert flavor, Black forest!

so from outer appearance, it looks like a original Tim Tam, chocolate biscuits with rich milk choc coating...but after you take the first bite, you will noticed that instead of the usual milk choc cream sandwiched between the biscuits, there was a thick layer of white cream & some gooey raspberry fudge caramel in the center, yum! It does very much remind me of black forest cake!
and the taste? Irresistible!

'Tim Tam' chocolate biscuits - Classic dark

Tim Tam! Yum! They're famous chocolate biscuits from Australian-originated food & snack giant Arnott's. I've loved these choc biscuits for years, and have always wished that Arnott's would make them in dark choc, and my wish has finally come true! Introducing Tim Tam 'Classic Dark'!
It's even more delicious than the original milk choc Tim Tam! Well, no surprise here coming from a dark choc lover!
But I don't think the choc coating is bitter enough for my taste, meaning not enough cocoa content in the dark choc...I was still able to taste the slight bitterness in the choc, but it's very subtle and it tastes closer to milk choc, rather than dark choc.
But other than that, it's delicious.

a enthusiastic foodie from Australia!

I love food, especially desserts & sweets, junk food and Japanese cuisine! But I'm a foodie who loves all kinds of good food in general ^_^
I like to review & critique about various food, sweets, snacks & drinks I have tasted/tried based on my OWN personal opinion & preferences. So you may not agree with some of my opinions & ratings.

Please take note that I am not a serious food "critic", reviewing & critiquing foods is merely a hobby I like to do in my free time ^_^

Although the 'Kit Kat' confection originates in England & is produced worldwide by Nestlé (and Hershey in the US only), most of the KK bars I review about are Japanese flavours from Nestlé Japan.
